IRENE SCHUMACHER manages to keep her position in the National Honor Society in spite of a heavy scholastic schedule in addition to holding clown a job after school hours. MIMI CANTWELL, top rating IWA girl in the National Merit Scholarship examination, is a joy to teachers and a wonder to her companions. SNNNK KAREN POVICH, President of the Student Council, has managed to hold various offices during her years at IWA. She was class pres- ident during her sophomore and junior years. 73

SENIORS IN N.H.S. SET EXAMPLE OF SCHOLARSHIP Probably the most highly respected students on the campus are the mem- bers of the National Honor Society. Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Honor, are the characteristics they must possess to become members of this ex- clusive group. MARGARET MUDD, Miss Courtesy of the Senior Class, is always among the top group in her class. It is a pleasure to know her, because she has learned that Politeness is,- to do and say the kindest thing in the kindest way. Ls.
