Scholarship, Leadership, Character, and Honor, are the characteristics they must possess to become members of this ex- clusive group. MARGARET MUDD, Miss Courtesy of the Senior Class, is always among the top group in her class. It is a pleasure to know her, because she has learned that Politeness is,- to do and say the kindest thing in the kindest way. Ls. However Joann has achieved nobility by study and has added it to her natural inborn, nobility.

IRENE SCHUMACHER manages to keep her position in the National Honor Society in spite of a heavy scholastic schedule in addition to holding clown a job after school hours. MIMI CANTWELL, top rating IWA girl in the National Merit Scholarship examination, is a joy to teachers and a wonder to her companions. SNNNK KAREN POVICH, President of the Student Council, has managed to hold various offices during her years at IWA. She was class pres- ident during her sophomore and junior years. 73
