KAREN MERRITT, President of the IWA Chapter of the National Honor Society. Dur- ing her four years at Incarnate she has marked up to her credit various honors such as the Dr. Warsley award, and has still found time to work with almost every club and association on the campus. Any Incarnate Word Academy girl would be honored and proud to be elected into the school's chapter of the National Honor Society. Membership is limited to juniors and Seniors who maintain an average of B over the first two andua half years of high school in the case of juniors and a continuance of this pattern of study during the remainder of the third year and the first semester of the fourth year. Failure to keep up this scholastic average means that a member is dropped from the NHS roster. Besides being eligible scholastically the prospective member must be of definite service to her school, be a leader, and have a good character rating. Miss Barbara Doering is the moderator of the National Honor Society at IWA.
