It is almost axiomatic that only those who do good work steadily over the whole semester will make the distinction of being named Honor Stu- dents. Transformed into a veritable fairyland by the deft hand of the talented members of the 1960 Sophs, the staid old gym was a ballroom of distinction. The Stardusters furnished the dreamy music. KEYED UP and happy with the outcome of their efforts at painting and decorating are Lucia Signorelli and Daria Gag- liardi. PARENTS OF THE SOPHS were on hand as chaperones. Mr. F. C. Klein, Mr. T. The IXVA Science Club, under the sponsor- ship of Sister Reparata aims to give the members an abiding interest in the study of science. This club prides itself on the fact that all its meetings are exciting and mentally profitable. Among the projects sponsored by the Science Club is the annual rake party, at which leaves are raked together, burned, . . . marshmallows are toasted . . . stars are studied . . . plans are made to keep up the tradition of a rake party. Science projects are prepared by several members of the Science Club, and these projects are entered in several science fairs. Membership is limited to juniors and Seniors who maintain an average of B over the first two andua half years of high school in the case of juniors and a continuance of this pattern of study during the remainder of the third year and the first semester of the fourth year. Failure to keep up this scholastic average means that a member is dropped from the NHS roster.
