In France in IS66, there occurred The founding of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Through the zeal of Bishop Dubuis, the Order had its birth. ln Galveston, Texas it first displayed its worth. From there the Sisters turned their efforts to San Antoneg Through their schools and hospital God became known. St. Louis became in their lives a vital part I And in l932 they there gave lncarnate Word Academy its start. Through the years they portray that symbol of faith and hope and truth Leaving a lasting imprint of God on the heart of youth.

The true teacher must suffer and do. He must break bread to the people: he must go into Gethsemane and toil up the steep of Golgotha .... Some- times I think that to be a woman and to serve and suffer as women do is to be the highest thing. Perhaps that is why I felt it proud and wondrous to be a teacher, for a teacher does that.
