Page blxtcen jAee,fg O11 7960 Qu 4 On September 4th 152 green freshmen took the1r places among the proud students of lWA We were gulckly adopted as l1ttle srsters by the knowrng sen1ors and there followed a maze of name learmng frxend fmdmg and havmg lots of fun wh1ch none of us w1ll ever forget After a few weeks we started our hard road of study and also learned that pat1ence smooths out all problems ln every act1v1ty at school the freshmen were well represented The volleyball and basketball courts were trodden by the n1mble feet of Carol Frye Iudy Brncxc Lois Ernst Pat Kmttel and Mary Lorraine Bauer The lumor Classlcal League Athletlc Assocratlon Dramatrcs Club and Youth Incorporated saw many a new face emoymg the act1v1t1es Our sp c1al proyect was f1ll1ng Red Cross boxes and Chr1stmas stocklngs thus brrghten mg a Chrlstmas for many a poor person After everyone had become acquamted the four offrcers were chosen Manlyn Monahan presrdent Carol Doerr v1ce pres1dent Iackre Iuhus sec retary Kathye Shelvy treasurer Because the freshmen d1d so well m the Natronal Cathol1c Decency m Lrterature drrve Homeroom 9 was able to grve us the wonderful freshman party We all want to congratulate agaln CISSY Eder for her wonderful yob as top salesman Many talented freshmen were d1scovered IH the tryouts for the presentatron of the Fathers Club Talent Show 1D February Karen Merntt Iackxe Iuhus and Carol Mayos vo1ces rang clear m the Glee Club whrle Laune Renners aglle acrobatrcs and Manlyn Monahans ballet dancmg added much to the delrghtful show Who can forget the Father Daughter Banquet?
