Wailzeu' 0 ul The Fathers' Club spon- sors many activities for the students of lncarnate Word Academy and their families. Among these are the annual Family Mass and Communion Break- fast, the Father-Daughter Dinner Dance and under- write the expenses of the girls' Christmas party. The officers of the Fathers' Club are: Mr. Les Lauber, President, Mr. Arthur Scheer, Vice-President, Mr. Palmer Mandle, Treasurer: and Mr. M. E. Hennessey, Secretary. iqldhtltd-6 rqddacialian ln an effort to keep lncarnate's graduates in touch with each other and the school, the Alumnae Association, through monthly meetings and fre- quent activities have sponsored the Homecoming and the Christmas Party. They also take part in the annual Alumnae-Varsity Basketball Game. The rings were blessed and our Spiritual Direc- tor, Rev. Robert Slattery, delivered an inspiring sermon on their meaning. The seventy-two seniors oi the Class of 1955 are now proudly Wearing these class rings, aware and proud, too, that their rings' design symbolizes their be- loved school and the religious order Which conducts it. The rings bear the insignia oi the Sisters ot Charity of Charity of the Incarnate Word - a crown oi thornsp the ileur-de-lis CF. flower ot the lilyl represents France, where the Order originated, the Lone Star represents Texas, Where the Order first started in the United States.
