Mothers' Club members were kept busy throughout the school year making plans and sponsoring success- ful activities. The Mothers' Club is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women. Major projects for the year of '57-'58 were a Spaghetti Supper, a card party, and the Mother and Daughter Banquet. Officers for the '57-'58 term were Mrs. Vincent Skrobarcek. The principal fund-raising activity of the Association finds hundreds of graduates and ex-students lending a hand for their Alma Mater. To these ends, monthly 19 4 meetings of the 260-odd members in the Association range from socials. family parties, F C to more serious gatherings. One of the highlights of the year is the Ivy Chain ceremony, ' ' during which graduating members of the current class are inducted into the Alumnae, officers for the coming year installed, Solemn Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament given by llis Excellency, the Bishop of Corpus Christi, and a reception held in the cafeteria to climax the evening. These enthusiastic Alumnae members went to the Annual Convention, held this year in San An- tonio, to represent Incarnate Word Academy in the Texas Chapter of the International Federation of Catholic Alumnae.
