Team members of the 1958 winning basketball season were: Back row. l. to r., Jo Ann Noser, Emily Vesely, Barbara Williams, Geraldine Hoelscher and Pat Haven. Front row, l. to r.. were Diane Shackleford, Riley Ann Hardeman, Margaret Leland. Captaing Karen Walker, and Nancy Knox. Coach was Sister Jeanne Francis. ACADEMYA GEL CHALK P WINNING SEASON The season's tally showed a total of 275 points to the ANGEL's credit with the opponents nipping at the heels of the IWA team with a total of 203 points. The season's score sheet confirms six victories on the credit side with two losses clfalked up on the debit side. High scorer for the season was Barbara Williams with 139 points. Captain Margaret Leland captured 80 points, Karon Walker, 23 pointsg Pat Haven, 27 points, and Jo Ann Noser, 4 points. Let- ters awarded to the cham- pions included the wing- ed A with three stripes to forward Karon Walker, two stripes to forwards Barbara Williams and Pat Haveng two stripes with star to Captain Margaret Leland, a forwardg one stripe for first year's serv- ice to forward Jo Ann Noser, and guards Geral- dine Hoelscher. Riley Ann Hardeman, Nancy Knox, Diane Shackelford, and Emily Vesely. Star guard-forward Pat Haven tleftm and Captain Margaret Leland frightl helped Secretary Emily Vesely keep check on team statistics.

Mothers' Club members were kept busy throughout the school year making plans and sponsoring success- ful activities. The Mothers' Club is affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women. Major projects for the year of '57-'58 were a Spaghetti Supper, a card party, and the Mother and Daughter Banquet. Officers for the '57-'58 term were Mrs. Vincent Skrobarcek. Presidentg Mrs. Clem Sherek, Vice- Presidentg Mrs. James Johnston. Secretaryg Mrs. Phil Robinson, Treasurerg Mrs. Fred Leonard, Par- liamentarian. Sister Mary George is sponsor of the club. The Mother and Daughter Banquet, which is sponsored by the Mothers' Club every year in May, was a great success again this year.
