I ig 'ii-'12 A H- s is s O O'O Imperial Schools are unique. In a dying world of struggling ideologies, the frightening threat of human extinction, and the frantic race toward greater scientific and technological achievement, Imperial represents a totally new concept in the field of education. Unfettered by age-old traditions, or the modern error of per- missive Progressive Education, Imperial Schools dare to blaze new trails, conquer new horizons, preparing to recapture TRUE VALUES! Beginning humbly, with a tiny staff of two teachers and seven students in 1955, Imperial Schools have surged ahead to a present staff of twenty-six full-time and eleven part-time teachers. The two present locations include the school being operated on our own Tabernacle grounds near Big Sandy, Texas, utilizing the beautiful environment of the extensive 1,000 acre grounds, plus the new, modern buildings with air-conditioned classrooms, indoor sports and athletic facilities, and spacious play areas under the east- Texas sunshine. ' The school contiguous to the magnificently landscaped campus of Ambassador College in Pasadena, California, enjoys the use of numerous refurnished and adequately equipped private residences, with a newly-finished high-school building, complete with modern laboratory equipment and a fine school library. Thus, Imperial is provided with two finely equipped locations, with a zealous, growing student-body of 355 boys and girls in all twelve grades. Plans are now underway for yet a third establishment, to be located on our magnificent grounds in the green belt, just outside London, England, and in conjunction with the campus of stately Ambassador College at Bricket Wood. Imperial's remarkable growth, however, has not been limited to mere numbers and facilities alone. While still in the pioneering stage of growth, Imperial has evidenced constant development in stability, in character, and in the stature and dignity of the finest school system anywhere. It has been truly an astounding surprise -to educators from the worldly systems. They are, shocked into in- credulousness at what is accomplished at Imperial. 'I'oday's drifting educational systems, swayed by each new ideology and educational philosphy, have followed the trend of German Rationalism. Their pragmatic, purely materialistic teaching methods have prepared our youth for further technological ad- vancement, for scientific endeavor, for materialistic goals. Paradoxi- cally, however, that SAME youthful generation faces the spectre of human annihilation through its own inventive genius. Man has been educating his youth in hopes of saving the world. He hopes the bright young men of tomorrow will solve the monstrous problems foisted upon them by the elder generation of today, Little does he realize that today's older generations are the bright young men of tomorrow of yesterday! s A

Imperial Schools dares to break with the established traditionalism of today's doomed world. It challenges the spineless doctrines of Progressive Education with its no-discipline theories, daring to PROVE to the world that a disciplined mind is the greatest single tool in education. Thus, the well-disciplined pupils at Imperial are living proof to the world that true education in- cludes the development of the person, not just development of the machine. The carefully planned curriculum at Imperial builds the basic foundation for acquiring an ad- vanced education. It teaches its pupils bow to learn. It stimulates curiosity, instills a sense of the true values of right knowledge, and provides the most vitally important preparation for later entrance into Ambassador College. It provides, in short, the finest grade and high school education obtainable on earth today. . In a few short years, when the real truth is learned about this world and its educational systems, it will be seen that Imperial Schools, far from being just another new experiment in education, was really a return to the very beginning roots of ALL education, And God COMMANDED the man, saying . . fGen. 2:16j. A -Garner Ted Armstrong
