onogram Club The Monogram Club is another one of the more involved groups at Bellefontaine. The main objectives of this organization is to promote good sportsmanship, encourage athletic achievement, insure proper maintenance and use of sports equipment, assi? athletic directors, and prepare athletic facilities for various sports events. Students who have achieved one varsity letter or two junior varsity letters may se- cure membership in the club. The Monogram Club meets several times a year to organize and sponsor worthwhile sport activities, both varsity and intramural, for the student body and for the members themselves. They also suggest rule changes and implement new sports events. The Dehon Debating Society is a member of the Springfield Diocese and Speech League and the Berkshire Forensic League. Under the guid- ance of Father Walter Na- bity, the debate team has done well in its competi- tion throughout Western Massachusetts. This club gives the individual de- bater a chance to become an effective speaker in this free society which de- mands advocacy.
