THE LITTLE FLOWER OF JESUS The class of '41 unanimously chose St. Therese, the Little Flower of Jesus as its class patroness. The Little Flower, often called, the little philosopher of love , possessed a sweet and charming character. She was born January 2, 1873 in Alencon. In her early youth, the little Flower like ourselves, had the great blessing of a thorough Catholic education. The life of St, Therese is a shining example of the power of faith, of hope and love. Though a gift of Cod, these virtues are increased by practice. The Little Flower always wished to encourage everyone to offer np to Jesus flowers of little sacrifices. These sacrifices are but little acts of self-abandonment, ac- ceptance of little sufferings and fore- goings of little pleasures. We selected the Little Flower because to us she is a radiant example of love, purity and tranquility. The class of '41 shall follow the footsteps of the little philosopher of love and endeavor to make their life as perfect as that of St. Therese, our Class Patroness. - Alicia Stachowslra.
