nff ff fl!! f l g , 1' ,gs and blue sky was a rare snght around ICHS We were kept too busy to care about the weather however as we attended the last basketball games of the season and re pared our chemtstry protects whtch were due at the end of the month February also found l2A engrossed on producnng flawless paragraphs see Ed Monaghanj and working madly on wrmng the Great Amerncan Short Story e plot was the thang and they were not to be purchased anywhere at any prnce e surprused ourselves wtth our own lngenunty and our Thursday mormng Coffee House sesston one week rang wrth bravos as the talented members read their stones to the assembled multttude Hustlmg around the corridors and keepung lonely vtgtl on corners during the lunch period was the Corrndor Patrol undaunted by weather or adverse cnrcumstances Gall Hannngan head of thus organtzatxon worked out many a plan to expednte trafflc In the halls durlng the passnng of classes and at student assembltes Durlng thus month we sensors looked back wath satusfactlon on the actuvltues of Le Cercle Francans composed thus year of everyone an the sensor French class Wnth meet ings held once a month Sally Hall the prestdent held our Interest time after time We lustened to records of famous French composers and descussed thenr ltves and works We harked back with pleasure to the Christmas party which had been so much fun The really bug event of the month was the Jumor Dance wtdely and expertly adverttsed by the members of that class February could really and truly have been termed as belongung especually to the lunnors they took the spotluqht at the begunnlng of the month and held on to tt During those days precedlng February l4 tumors could be seen selling tuckets making announcements and desugnnng decorations and posters The candlclates for Miss lmmaculate l958 were chosen by the lunnors and a week before the dance the whole school voted The nnght of the dance was clear and cold The arttstlc entrance to Madonna Hall Immaculate s recently opened social center gractously offered by Monstgnor for our own use was ablaze wnth lnghts The new settmg truly made thus dance An Affaur to Remember At about ten thtrty the tume came for the crowning of Mass lmfnaculate Our own Cathy Neary who had recetved thus honor the previous year ascended the throne for the last ttme and memornes filled our mtnds and hearts as we recalled our Jumor Dance the precednng May Could we ever forget the lanterns or the punk apple blossom branches or the bridge at the entrance to the gym that was flmshed an hour before the dance? The onental theme The Kung and l had transformed the gym into a lovely Suamese garden But we qutckly returned to the present as we heard Monsignor Powers speakung Then the excnttng moment came the new Mtss Immaculate was proclatmed Elleen Mount won the coveted tutle much to the delnght of everyone So another Junior Dance passed and as February faded unto March another tumor class became more and more ready to step Into our footsteps as the shadow of graduatton grew more dtstmct and could be seen In the near future Rardmg the refrigerator after the .lumor Dance are T Pagllara, R Buoye, P McKeon, E.
