CHURCH AND SCHOUL THF. SUBLIME MISSION of the Cath- olic Church is to establish the Kingdom of God upon earth. To win the World for Christ, to establish the principles of Chris- tianity in every walk of life, to bring peace and happiness to all men, are her constant purpose and objective. Opposition and difliculties surround Her on all sides, yet She surges forward with Her message of truth. The purpose of the Immaculate Con- ception High School is to train young men and women to be dynamic exponents of Catholicity, able and willing to advance the work of the Church in society. We, who have had the privilege of at-- tending Immaculate, realize the sacred purpose of our education. This end has been very clearly exhibited to us by the direction of all our studies and activities to the honor and glory of God. Our religious studies have given us a fuller knowledge of the truths we must believe and the duties we must perform to merit eternal salvation. But mere knowl- edge of what we must do is not enough to constitute a Catholic education. It must be supplemented by a far more important ele- ment, a fostering of fidelity to religious obligations. We have received this through our various religious exercises. It is this close relationship of Church and School, under the everguiding patron- age of our Immaculate Mother, that has produced such wonderful champions of Christ from our school in the past. Now our time to go forth has come, and it is our fervent prayer, that we, armed with the powerful weapon of a Catholic education, will be able to uphold the past traditions of Immaculate Conception High School, and make a valuable contribution to the spreading of Christ's Kingdom on earth. SALLY O'CONNELL
