Catholic edu- cation requires of athletics, not just exer- cise in development of the body, but directed exercise, in team work, in co-operation, in self-sacrifice towards realizing a definite ideal. This is exercise in education, this is training for life. To our directors, Fr. Edward T. Wiatrak, former coach at the University of Detroit High School, and his assistant, Mr. Edward.J. O'Connor, former coach at the St. Johnfs High School, Toledo, we acknowledge our sincere gratitude. They have inspired the boys with a spirit of unity and co-operation that is reflected in all activities of the school. This is one year's achievment. It is great, and we are proud of it. But it is only the promise of greater things to come. We who know and love Immaculate Conception High School, make its principles of unity and co-operation our owns We have faces set with confidence to the future -sto the future of Immaculate Conception, to the future of a Catholic ideal of education complete in all things, to the future of Catholic young manhood, .,gN.-,-,,.,,,,,, 2.-..-W ...W-.f 'Bti-whiff V P iartel, Vox elLs, J. drerman, bl xml .Jlcl 19lI'1h9.I'Q t, Chqrleg lcllerrnott, Uobn Pr' H v www, 113. ,, .. um Us Brovco Qofl gall leans 'gl' 4 -'Qiw 4' H ..,.-f..-....7,.?..-,,..- o 1 , f ,, - - A '. .
