Physical Education Third period physical ed- ucation class is learning an Israeli folk dance called Mayim from Sr. Arne. This dance sym- bolizes the joy of the Israelites in finding water in the desert. During Mr. McTaggart's lively physical education class, the boys seem to enjoy practicing their jumping jacks. Trying very hard to keep their feet up in the air as they do the bicycle are the boys in seventh period physical education class. 22

On a beautifully decorated stage singing hymns during the Christmas program are ICHS chorus members: Joyce Kittle, Paula Bidwell, Mo McKirnan, Mindy Moeder, Susie Bomholt, Sandy Lewis, accompanist Mrs. Jane Moeder, director Mrs. Marcella Miller, Peggy Heckler, Mary Blanche Flohre, Barb Minnich, Nancy Sell, Sharon Stuckenborg, and Dan Schott. Displaying their lack of two front teeth at the Christinas assembly are Nancy Sell and Peggy Heckler as they sing All I Want For Christmas Are My Two Front Teeth! 21

Freshman Basketball Team - FRONT ROW: Mike Wagner, John Moeder, Tim Knapke, Dan Hawk, Randy Vorhees, Fred Culver, Roger Klos- terman, and Joe Hartings. BACK ROW; Managers Jerry Fleck and Mark Shearer, Dave Gehle, Dick Brandewie, Jim Bertke, Don Bertke, Tom Sanders, Steve Sommer and Mr. Mike Sullivan, Coach. This is the first year I.C. chose freshman cheerleaders. They are Becky Fiely, Karen Bueltel, Sue MacDonald, Michelle Milliser, and Laura Kremer. These girls improved the pep at the games and cheered the boys on to a fairly good season. 23
