The purpose of the Mt. St. Joseph Auxiliary is to pray for vocations. Already the prayers of its many members have shown results. A 1962 graduate, Mary Denise Carl- ton, this year took her first vows of the Sisterhood. Besides praying for vocations, the members, along with their sponsors, Sister Mary Maurice and Sister St. John, visited orphanages in the Mi- ami area. A DAY of Recollection was held several times throughout the year, with priests from various par- ishes participating. Sodality Stresses Spiritual Life Members pose around statute of patron. l i Wednesday afternoon finds Sodality in Chapel for Holy-Half Hour. President Jan Ross conducts meeting. The aim of the Sodality is to increase the student's desire to serve and honor God. The Sodality of Our Blessed Lady has this year stressed the spiritual aspect of life rather than participation in many extra-curricular activi- ties. Many Holy-Half Hours were held on Wednesday afternoons. Members also sold pompoms in the Sodality colors at the be- ginning ofthe year. 37
