Xia t His Holiness Pope Paul V1 looks to the moon on Ihe night that an impossible dream came Irue-when Apollo I1 made a lunar landing. ierarchy Pope Paul Vl counts among his duties as vicar of Christ on earth the education of the young to the ideals of the Church. Christ said, 'iBe perfect even as my heav- enly Father is perfect , and it was to Peter that He entrusted this responsibility. The Holy Father's concern for youth keeps his gaze pointed upward while he walks and works in the world of the realist. In the diocese of Trenton, a tremendous growth in Catholic population has kept Bishop George W. Ahr busy with care for the temporal and spiritual welfare of his flock. A number of new parishes were started this year to accommodate the in- crease. Among the changes in appoint- ments was the one touching Auxiliary John C. Reiss, who has been called back to the Chancery Office and is now pastor of St. Francis Parish, The changes in the diocese necessarily affect the Very Rever- end Thomas J. Frain, Superintendent of Schools. This year five new schools were opened under his jurisdiction. All of these men strive on different levels for the same goal. With the star that is tomorrow's world united under a banner of Christian love shining before them, they work relentlessly together. f b. ,aff egg' 'OJ .ml George W, Ahr, S.T.D., Bishop of Trenton, looks up momenlarily from his paper work to make a quick decision QI
