Thrilling the crowd, the worn-out teachers showed their skill, managing to throw away a seven point lead in the waning moments. However, the 'former Hwhiz kids showed promise for future games sparked by the wretched rebounding of the fleet- footed flash, Raul Comesanas, and the erratic shooting of Joe The Pole Poplowski. Glee Club Since the hearts of Immaculatans are young and gay, the Glee Club is a popular activity under the direction of Sister Ann Bernadette, I.H.M. The fine array of tal- ent on display when the vocalists perform includes solos and harmonizing. Aside from their main appearances, the mem- bers of the group are available to provide a euphonious background to any and all school pwgrams. These extemporaneous offerings are interspersed in a rigorous schedule of preparation for the star attrac- tions: Carol Day, the Spring Musicale, and Baccalaureate Mass. In December the chorale gathers in the main lobby around the tree to put the fin- ishing touches on the students' Christmas spirit. The jovial air of informality pre- vailing on the day before a two-week va- cation contrasts sharply with the quiet dig- nity of the formally robed singers in May. The now familiar voices blend for the last time at the senior Mass in June, when the solemnity of the occasion calls for yet an- other facet of the Glee Club's ability.
