One of the most meaningful events in a secondary school career falls early in the fourth year when a student is pre- sented with his high school ring, symbol of the ideals to which he has been educated. Ring Day represents a milestone for every senior, and a focus of anticipation for the underclassmen. The assembly was held this year for the first time in the Little Theater with Reverend Stephen Congdon officiating, John Kelly presiding over the ceremony, and Daniel Mitzak addressing his classmates on the significance of the symbol they wear. Every alumni is proud to wear his ring as a reminder of the four years well spent at lmmaculata. Parading the short distance to Baccalaureate Mass, seniors feel a tinge of sorrow for the swift passage of four fulfilling years. Graduation At the culmination of four years at Im- maculata comes the realization of one dream in the spectrum of ideals with which every student has lived. On graduation day each senior receives a diploma-a piece of paper, a symbol of accomplish- ment-as a sign that he has completed his high school education and has attained the first of his goals. Every student car- ries bitter-sweet memories of mingled sad- ness and joy.
