Zia... ational Honor Society Seventeen members of the class of 1969 were rewarded for their dedication to high ideals. The efforts to achieve scholar- ship, leadership, character, and service made them eligible for membership in the National Honor Society. This nationally- known society brought deserved recognition upon outstanding seniors. During high school years, the students gladly participated in numerous extracurricular activities such as Band, Mathe- matics Club, and History Club, while still maintaining a B average. As school leaders, they were true witnesses to an active high school life. Roberta Tehan and Gregory Aloia enjoyed de- vising clues for the literary contest held during National Library Week.

Only seniors who maintained an average of 85 or better in religion and four major subjects from freshman to senior year qualified. Putting the HELP project into effect, Walter gladly tutored some underclassmen during their free Hart and Lorraine Blose time. Officers Lynne Dombroski, Jean Grainda, James Mahoney, and Maureen St. Onge dis- cussed preparations for the semester break dance. Attaining a high academic rating wasn't enough for Caroline Corona and Vincent Bruns, who wished the good housekeeping stamp placed on lmmaculata. Character, L and Service Rena Bouchal explained to Maria Mastrobuono, Cassandra Garay, and Susan Duffy the distinction of hav- ing their names inscribed in the school archives.
