MAGNIFICAT Meeting deadlines, polishing and rewriting copy, rearranging layouts and seeking out infor- mation for captions-all this and more com- prised working on the yearbook. A daily, unend- ing struggle for perfection gave witness to the ultimate goal of the staff-a yearbook of quality and distinction. MAGNIFICAT 1969, beginning as a vision for the staff and a pledge from the student body, took shape after months of diligent work. Sister Immaculata Mary, I.H.M., and Sister Brigid Maureen, I.H.M., added the extra drive needed to surpass MAGNIFICAT 1968, rated first place by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Combined tasks of business and typing occupied the time of Diane Klepacki and Barbara Corby as they finally came to the end of checking more than eight hundred 51.00 boosters. 5' 2 es xr Georganna Sponaes and Katherine Doyle both agreed that caption writing needed creativity and imagination but to be without a dictionary or thesaurus proved disasterous. bn etttt t 1 -Q. ..,.t .
