IMMACULATA Who? A hard-working staff of reporters, edi- tors, copy-writers, and typists. What? The IMMACULATAN, the school newspaper. When? At every newsworthy event. Where? Cheerleaders promulgated the edict, This is the year of the Spartans, at the first pep rally of the season. y 'Min ,Vi rx ig? if 'Jn' with Juli' X Q 1 vi in ,aah Rallies added the extra push needed for the hrs! season victory over Pope John XXIII. Pep allies Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders, amid spirit and enthusiasm, executed precision routines and peppy drills. Cheers, applause, and gaiety of the students spurred the team on to victory and eased the pain of defeat. Pep rallies never failed to inspire the senior boys for skit material as they became everyone from cheer- leaders to opponents. Realizing that the student body supported them, the squad coupled spirit with athletic abilities to conquer all odds. Co-Captain Joseph Kelly charged through the Spartan emblem leading the way for his teammates. 72
