IMMACULATA Who? A hard-working staff of reporters, edi- tors, copy-writers, and typists. What? The IMMACULATAN, the school newspaper. When? At every newsworthy event. Where? Room 132 and anywhere the news is happening. Why? To publish a first-class newspaper which keeps the student body in touch with all of the major scoops at Immaculata. Mr. William McIntyre congratulated newly elected Spartan Club President, William Davis, as he and Athletic Director Pierce Frauen- heim offered their support for the coming year. Spartan Club As parents and friends dedicated to Immacu- lata, the Spartan Club sponsored recreational and educational activities throughout the school year. A program on the danger of Juvenile Addiction to Narcotics, the Annual Football Awards Ban- quet, and the third Boxing Tournament high- lighted the versatile schedule of events. The first Christmas and Spring Dances for the adults olfered extremely entertaining and profit- able evenings. This year women joined the ranks as Mrs. Gloria Manara assumed the position of secretary. Members of the Junior Varsity Football Team discussed the successful season while waiting for the main course during the annual Football Awards Banquet held at the Martinsville Inn. Coach Comesanas reviewed the fundamentals of the game with the squad. Soccer Club water and Somerville High Schools. t and prepared for college teams. Under the direction of Mr. Raul Comesanas, ambitious students with ath letic ability and a talent for association football joined together to establish the first Soccer Club of Immaculata. Con fined indoors during winter months, the athletes envisioned matches with Bridge Spring heralded regular outdoor prac tices and kept alive the soccer enthusi asts' desire to excel.
