I, I t,.1A , Chaperoning the prom proved to be enjoyable as well as relaxing for faculty members. Weeks of eager anticipation came to an end as each handsome couple arrived at Somerville Inn. The band, featuring music by Bill Sperling, dedi- cated such numbers as f'To Sir with Lovel' to Monsignor Kelly and The Night Has a Thou- sand Eyes to the willing chaperones. The crowning of Diane Crivello as Prom Queen 1968, highlighted the evening and f'Three Coins in a Fountainj, the final dance, was dedicated to her. With the evening drawing to a rapid close, each couple dreamily left lillcd with all the happy memories of a Junior-Senior Prom. After the presentation of the crown and flowers by John Meehan. committee representative, Diane Crivello beamed delightedly as her escort Paul Laub proudly displayed his approval. 59

Senior library assistants Victoria Orlando Mary Ann Vassar Katherine Doyle Nancy Dugan Diane Kalwicz, Sharon Orlando and Maria Mastrobuono prepared themselves for the onslaught of the early morning rush Utilizing library facilities Advanced Biology scholars probed into the unknown aspects of yeast fermentation. Library Staff A group of industrious students, under the di- rection of Sister Angelorum Maria, I.H.M., busied themselves during free periods and after school. The shelving of books, the cleaning of the library, and the creating of eye-catching displays explained the bustle and energy characteristic of each aide. Through their direct encouragement and example, the staff, not content in just having the library in perfect order, made sure it was al- ways lilled with research-minded students. Stephen Phillips, Joan Hoffman, Bernard Sloan, and Lynne Dombroski entered the li brary to begin their daily chores.
