Religious Activities Immaculata, in tune with the Church of Vati- can II, set a new precedent this year by celebrat- ing a Folk Mass every First Friday. Each stu- dent, giving witness to his Christian faith, partici- pated with new vigor and enthusiasm in the modern hymns. A spirit of Christian love and unity spread among the semi-circle of Immaculatans as they worshipped God with a refreshing feeling of one- ness. A monthly Mass for each class strengthened the realization of the primary purpose of an Im- maculata education. Monsignor Kelly solemnly raised the monstrance as altar boys Albert Macchi and Stephen Bocckino paid homage to Christ, our Savior. Reverend Richard Ewing offered a crown to Mary, our Patroness and Protectress. as a symbol of Immaculatan love and devotion. Joseph Kelly found it difficult to say no to Kathryn Johnson as she made her morning plea for mission contributions. Mission Representatives Give what you have-to someone it may be better than you dare think. -Longfellow. The Mission Representatives, mostly by their gener- ous example, succeeded in making the students realize the comfort and luxury of their own lives and the poverty and despair of others. Under the direction of Sister Brigid Maureen, I.H.M., daily collections for money and postage stamps taught each lmmaculatan the meaning of sacrifice. Under the guidance of Sister Ann Bernadette, I.H.M., the staff, by daily acts of kindness and of love, kept the chapel truly worthy of the presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Donna Paternoster, Donna Garay, Dorianne Kabo, and Paula Muent- nich worked industriously in prepar- ing the sanctuary for a Bible Vigil.
