His Holiness Pope Paul VI exchanged greetings with airline personnel en route to India. Pope Paul VI, vicar of the Ro- man Catholic Church, expressed deep concern for people of faith throughout the world. His call for peace and the encyclical HU- MANAE VITAE reflected his re- gard for the attitudes and norms of society today. Bishop George W. Ahr out of interest for the faithful of the diocese of Trenton recently di- vided it into eight vicarates. Un- der this plan, the laity found greater stress placed on partici- pation in parish activities. In conjunction with these ac- tions, Auxiliary Bishop John C. Reiss received the pastorate of Sacred Heart Parish in South Plainfield. His appointment cre- ated a central bureau for vicar- ates in this area. Superintendent M 0 n s i g n o r Thomas J. Frain and his assistant Reverend William F. Schulze car- ried the ideas of witness and vo- cation to the youth in grammar and high schools throughout the diocese. By fostering entrance in new liturgical services, they aided the students in realizing the ideas of Vatican Council II. Hierarchy The Most Reverend George W.
