Although Immaculata girls are known widely for their scho- lastic, athletic, and forensic achievements-their numerous per- sonal talents, abilities, and distinctions in other areas are not so well-known. Here then, in Immaculata's own WHO'S WHO, are a few of the girls to whom honor is due: MARY THEO CARROLL for representing the Southern Oakland Planning Board at the National Girl Scouts' Convention in St. Louis. JOELA ACRI for initiating the Foreign Exchange Student Program at l.H. JUDY ARNOLD for fulfilling her office as Secretary of Jasko Uunior Achievementl successfully. COLLEEN CONROY for winning the Betty Crocker Homemaker of the Year Award at l.H. MARY BETH DiMAMBRO for actively participating ,as Vice-President, in the teen activities sponsored by the Precious Blood Teen Club. JENNIFER PARKS for continuing to hold her title of Girls' and Womens' State Champion in the backstroke swimming competition, and for being named to participate in the Olympic Trials of 1960. SUZANNE RIEDEN and IRENE STUECKEN for their intelligent and active participation on the radio panel, Young America Looks at Books. JUDY STEC for showing active leadership as President of her group of Campfire Girls. We are not able to list the names of all the girls at l.H, who deserve recognition for two reasons: first, we do not have the space, and second, this book goes to press in March-too early to include a listing of final honors. The other girls, we are sure, will be recognized at the school's ANNUAL HONORS ASSEM- BLY in June.

What Program of Studies Does She Follow? Turning my attention to her stack of study books, I noted with satisfaction that she seems to be acquiring a liberal education - the kind of education best suited to a woman's needs and goals in life. Included in her collection were such texts as: Modern Chemistry, French for the Modern World, Advanced Algebra for Problem Solving, Visu- alized American History and Today's Economics, plus the ever-meaningful English Usage, composition, and literature. From such an array, I decided that her program of studies must be a solid one, and that she herself must be a sincere, earnest, industrious student.
