' Thinking back to cotton candy days, Grade school crayons, Christmas plays Dreams of childhood happiness but sad Because they don't last And the dreams meant for tomorrow have Somehow quietly passed. l don't remember how it began, I can't recall the day, It came upon me suddenly-- As childhood slipped away. Thinking now of high school days And how quickly they go by Freshman year, initiation, feeling Emharrassed and shy. Sophomore year, the Friday night dances Which led to the famous school romances And the usual tear when he went away, But those tears seem so little to pay. Junior year was a maze of things, Homework, the semi, and of course the rings Choking on gum you forgot you were chewing When your homeroom teacher asked what you were doing. ff I So many things that have happened . . So many wordsl can't say, Personal things that we've gone through Which helped to show us the way.
