Dedication To the m , p us in so many ways throughout the long and happy years of our lives, we, the Annual Staff, dedicate the 1955 edition of the Spartan. Though our appreciation is too rarely expressed, we are aware that it is in lar e m g easure due to them that we have had so many advanta es a d ost loyal Spartans of us all, our parents who have hel ed ' g n opportuni- ties. May we never forget the undying patience a d th n e many sacrificies which they have so willingly made for us. And ' may we, in return, do the best we can to repay that patience and th ose sacrificies by remaining always loyal and true to the ideals they have given us.

Your Parents and the People of our Community have tried to provide you with the best facilities available that you might acquire the knowledge so necessary for your future success. Some students drink at the fountain of lcnowledge-others gargle. It is our sincere hope that you did drink and not just gargle. Also may I call your attention to the fact that It is better to work to get by without scheming than to scheme to get by without working. And when the going is tough and everything seems wrong just remember That there is more happiness in the world than has ever been discovered.
