Class History As the pages of our Memory Book are rapidly being completed, we turn back to the Ninth Grade and smilingly recall our high school years. When we entered our Freshmen year, we were looking forward to many new adventures. Our first adventure, which was a little scarey, was our initi- ation by the Junior Class. For our officers we selected: President, Jesse Tor- res: Vice President, Leonard Schunemang Secretary, Barbara Ray: Treasurer, Sandra Boskerg Student Board Representative, Charles Greenwald. Our spon- sors were Mr. Grove and Mr. Cooper. Our money making projects were fudge sales and bake sales. We started our Sophomore year with a little more confidence. Our officers were: President, Leonard Schunemang Vice President, Jack Stover: Secretary Barbara Ray: Treasurer, Shirley Brandt: Student Board Representative, Nola Snyder. Our sponsors were Mr. Roland and Mr. Hanson. Our second adven- ture was when our class took top honors when Barbara Ray was elected Queen of Football. There was a dance following the game in her honor. To make money we sold fudge, had bake sales, and sponsored dances. Our last event of the year was decorating the gym for Baccalaureat and graduation for the class of '53, After a most welcome vacation, we started our Jimior year. Our officers were: President, Fred Radeltg Vice President, Bob Harris: Secretary, Elaine Stern: Treasurer, Nola Snyder. Our sponsors were Mr. Skeberdis and Miss Force. The two big adventures of this year were, our Junior Play, Brides To Btu'n, which was a big success. Then came the Junior Prom, Rhapsody In Blue, with music by the Blue Note Band. We chose our class rings from the Josten Company. To make money for our Senior Trip, we sold Christmas Trees, Christmas Cards, and Magazines. Our biggest year, which was our Senior year, wes full of fun and hard work. For officers we elected: President, Vern Leretteg Vice President, Ronald Cischke: Secretary, Joan Hergert: Treasurer, Laura Jakobowskii Student Board Representatives were, Charlotte Caldwell, Ruth Knight, and Bob Harris. We had our pictures taken by Powel1's. Our money-making projects were Chr- istmas Trees, Christmas Cards, and Magazines. We also sold candy at all home games. Our three main adventures were: Our Senior Play, which was Anne of Green Gables. Shirley Brandt and Bob Harris were our nominations for the King and Queen of Football. Bob Harris was chosen king from the nominations of the whole student body. Then came our trip, our trip to New York was sponsored by Teen Tours. We stayed at the beautiful Taft Hotel and ate our meals at Longleys. . We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has made it possible for us to graduate by saying, We are very proud to be graduating as the class of 1955.
