GOLDEN REVERIES Imbler High School Imbler, Oregon 1969-1970 Volume No. 20 theme Do Your Own Thing Dedication: To the students of Imbler High They say that the sun light has enough power in it to blast the world away. And so do you. They say that one cup of wild sea water can produce enough power to blow a million minds apart. And so do you. Look at eternity. Man has meas- ured it. Look at space. Man has flown through it. Look at the earth. Man is de- stroying it. Look at Man. Mankind has forgot- ten him. You hold the nation in your hands - fragile little pulsing heart of the peo- ple. If, in some wild-eyed moment, you let go what little grip you ve got on it, you've lost it. Or have you al- ready dropped it? Yours is America. Take it. Hold it. Cup it in your hands and wonder at it. For you are alive. And life is freedom. And that freedom is your one inalienable right. Live for it. Die for it. Once you've lost your freedom you're dead anyway. How can you ask if God is dead ? You are the creation! As long as you're alive how can your God be dead? Your birth was your enlistment in- to mankind's ultimate battle. The fight for or against - life. Your existence is your weapon. How you live is how to fight. Win or lose now-you must choose now-and if you lose you've only wasted your live. quote from the song- Tlie Great Mandella written by Peter Yarrow Patricia Elaine Henderson Marie Nugent Alfred Dwight Amoldus Marilyn Oliver 6 Sponsored by: DEMPSEY’S FUNERAL CHAP.
