During the first semester of school, Jimmy Patterson left us to attend school at Portland. Next CUPID stepped in to run off with Helen Silsby and Bonnie Hawks. We are now a class of 10 members: Gene McLaughlin, Mickey Dougharityg Judy Houtzg Louise Scott, Joyce Billerbeck, Student body secretary, Rosalee Tuck, Student body room representative, Bertha Hohstadt, Class nresidentg Louise Tuck, Secretary treasurerg Charlotte Coffin, Student body Vice-president, and Charlotte Patrick. Activities for the year have been our consession booth during football and basketball, which is helping the financial side of the Junior-Senior Prom that is poing to be held April 26. In December we had a Christmas party at Mrs. Morgans, class supervisor, with refresh- ments and a sift exchange. In February Louise Tuck, Gene McLaughlin, and Bertha Hohstadt participated in a 'Lincolns Day' play. It was put on before the student body and the Imbler P.T.A. During the month of February Charlotte Coffin worked on a speech sponsored by the American Legion oratorical contest on the Constitution. Due to lack of information and time she forfeited her right to speak. Participating in football this year was Gene McLaughlin playing left end and Mickey Dougharity at center. In girls sports we had participating in basketball: Bonnie Hawks, Rosalee Tuck, Louise Tuck, and Joyce Billerbeck. Louise Tuck is the only girl particinating in volleyball. The first of March Joyce Billerbeck was chosen as nFair Maidu for the 1956 Union fair. She will ride in the parades at Pendleton, Joseph, Union, Elgin, and La Grande. Louise Scott entered the UPi1lsbury Bakeoffn. She entered a oastry called Lilies . The Junior class is eagerly awaitin- their Senior year.
