The play tells the old story of a country pirl who, on roing to the city, suddenly finds herself madly and violently in love with a young man whom she supposses to be an aristocrat. All the scenes following in which she tries to educate her parents to modern society rules, and the difficult time she has in making Pa woar shoes, produces a very comical situation. Events such as these from an average American life are often very amusinr when given a public hearing, and such is the case with Romance in a Boarding House.
