SET P TG WI , fXfg. B-Team left to rightp Chris Robert, Coach Rick Waltrip, Leigh Ann Skinner, Tammy Bertrand, Pam Wissmann, Karen Brawley, Missy Bond, Teresia Hale, Lori Goodman, Laura Baker, Cindy Payne, Paula Elders, Daphne Bockting. The j.V. 1979 Volleyball season was good from the point of view that it was a winning season, but disappointing in that the ladies lost to inferior teams. However, this experience should serve us all in good stead for future seasons which will be much more successful. Despite some ugly situations, our team maintained a sportsmanlike and, above all, ladylike appearance, one which all Ram-fans are proud of. on Leigh Ann volleys the ball. 1979-80 Season Scores l-SC I-SC I-SC I-SC I-SC I-SC I-SC I-SC I-SC New Madrid Chaffee Oak Ridge Leopold Notre Dame Chaffee Perryville Meadow Heights Cape Central 'img l ll I ' x -131 B-Team scrimmage. Our season's record was 6 and 5. At least we won more than we lost. We opened with a win over East Prairie. Next, we defeated New Madrid. We beat Oak Ridge and University High but lost to Leopold and Chaffee. October 18 chalked up another win for us over Meadow Heights after falling to Central. Drawing Perryville for the District Tourney was sad for us as they had defeated us before. Our last game against East Prairie lwhich we would have won, of coursel had to be cancelled as it was scheduled for the same night as the District Tourney at Fredericktown. It seemed like the season was over before we knew it. Beth and Cherie llbumpll. vs! Volleyball players get announced at pep assembly.
