Shipman, was elected as a member of the newly re-organized school board and at the first meeting of the board of education was elected president. Mrs. Shipman holds a B. S. degree in Education from the Southeast Missouri State College, and has done graduate work with the University of Wisconsin and Columbia Uni- versity, New York. Before retiring from the teaching pro- fession three years ago, she taught English and music in the lllmo-Fornfelt High School. The re-organized school district is indeed fortunate to have at the head of its board of education a person so well- informed about school problems and with scuh a wide edu- cational and cultural background as our, Mrs. L. I hope it has been a good year to each one of you. lllmo-Fornfelt High School has much to offer its students . I am proud of our student body and of our graduates. As another year passes into history the MEMORIES add an- other chaoter to their book of achievement and another group of graduates go out into the world ready to serve their community, state, and nation and prepared to live happy and useful lives.
