The per' formance received an excellent write-up in the Town Crier, which is here reproduced. 'kThe Dramatic Club of the Illman School last night revived Sir james M. Barrie's little whimsy, 'Quality Street,' with charm and some distinction before an audience in the auditorium of the Philomusian Club, at 40th and Walnut Streets. The players showed surprising dexterity, both in acting and in speaking their lines, They played the piece in a subdued key, and made of it a thing of shimmering loveliness. Grace M. Stanistreet directed the presentation and her able work was reflected in the acting. Margaret Hafer was excellent as Phoebe Throssel, who takes up school teaching after her lover has gone away to war. She showed a remarkable understanding of her part. Anne Lunsford was Valentine Brown, Phoebe's lover, and enacted the difficult role with ease and grace. Charlotte Belland as Susan Throssel did a remarkable bit of work. Ruth Buck gave a praisefworthy performance in the part of a saucy pupil in Phoebe's school. Brenda Hazzard, Natalie Reisman and Arnold Fleetwood acquitted themselves well in their roles of the 'old maids' of the household. The others of the cast gave commendable characterizations.
