The Span-1 930 llDllRAlllflIlQfMllflIl4E Gf3ill5lllllPa RAMATIC interests at the Illman School were first brought to note during the year of 1927, at which time the lllman Dramatic Club was organiled. Its purpose is that of fostering dramatics and stimulating an interest in them, This purpose has been realized as is shown by the attention it receives and by the large following it has acquired. 5 Since its organization the Dramatic Club has produced annually either three one' act plays or a one threefact play in the Spring of the year. The performance is usually followed by a dance. In the year 1928f1929, with Margaret Robinson as President, Thackeray's The Rose and the Ring was successfully presented to a most apprecif ative audience. This year Margaret Hafer is President, janet Newman, Vice President, Edna Charles, Secretary, Mary Land, Treasurer. At Christmas, Why the Chimes Rang was given at the Philomusian Club. The scenery and properties were made and arf ranged for by the members of the Dramatic Club. Sir james M. Barrie's Quality Street has been selected as the play to be produced and is now under way for prescnf tation in early May. We feel sure the play will provide a most pleasant evenings entertainment and that it will receive the usual splendid support of the student body and the many friends of the school. Fifty-'nine
