In the fall of '71 we entered the Great Hall of I.H.S. as enthusiastic little freshmen led by Ronnie Leonard-President, Eddie McDermott-Vice President, Cindy Ramsey- Secretary, Lisa Turnbull-Treasurer. Our enthusiasm payed off as we took first place with our imaginative float The Pirates Will Bacchus With Brut Force , and also built the world's tallest bonfire. Out projects for this year consisted of selling ball- point pens and cracking a few windows. Teresa Hohenstein was President, Tomye Layton-Vice President, Doris Pickel- Secretary, and Lisa Turnbull-Treasurer as we started off our Sophomore year. Our colorful float 'We'll Drive Em Buggy With A Pirate Victory skidded to Second Place. We sold Homecoming Tickets, candy and also had a cake raffle. We started off our Junior Year with what we thought a prize winning float, The Pirates Will Go-pher a Goodyear with which we recieved the coveted fourth place. We did have a record breaking magazine sale, sold candy at the games and some really fantastic candles. We also sponsored Prom With Effic as our band and our Theme If . Our officers this year were Mary Dobrinsky-President, Cindy Ramsey- Vice President, Connie Huyear-Secretary, and Lisa Turnbull-Treasurer. Three months later we found ourselves back for one last try in these familar halls. We started off winning First Place with our Float The Pirates Will Seal Up A Vic- tory With A Balanced Attack. And We're not Clowin' Around . Searchin So Long was our theme and Bodine Frip Was our Homecoming Band. The class officers were Gary Hallam-President, Cindy Ramsey-V. President, Joan Burdzilauskas-Secretary, Lisa Turnbull-Treasurer. ’Our Class had to work hard to raise enough money to go to Florida. We had a Hallo- ween Party, Chilli and Spaghetti Suppers, Bake Sales, Cake Raffles, and Finally a Rummage Sale. But it all seemed to pay off as we made it to our destination FLORI- DA. in May of 1975 we walked through that Great Hall for the last time leaving behind 4 wonderful years and a path of tears. , A cu Kl itn .
