f’ s. s T u D E N T FROM LAOS B 0 U N Homecoming Parade This year for the first time through A.F. S. we were able to help sponsor a foreign student, Boun Nhang Sengchandavong. Boun is from Vientiane, Laos, which is in south-eastern Asia. To get here Boun took a plane from Vientiane to Bangkok (Thailand), where he took a plane to Alaska and then to New York, where he took a bus to Cleveland, Ohio. From Cleveland he took a bus to Columbus then to Indianapolis. There he met his American family, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Johanson and David. Boun was honored in our annual homecoming parade by riding in a special A. F. S. car. Boun also spoke at an assembly and showed us different items from his country.

Class of S W X S i i tu- rM 0J O The seniors of '73 had four active and rewarding years. They started out the freshman year by winning first place on their float We Artichoke Em . They also sold Watkins Vanilla. But they didn't stop there; they were thinking ahead to their junior and senior years: to Prom, and most especially the Senior Class Trip. Their sophomore year was just about the same, only this time they turned out a second place float titled Our Action Will Crush the Comets . The candy sales and a soc hop were their main money projects. The most active year for the Class of '73 was their junior year. They planned out the Homecoming parade and took second place again with their float Looks Like We'll Dunk'em, Donut . Prom was held at the St. Nicholas Hotel in Spring- field, Feelin' Alright was the theme, and the Makinaw Valley Boys were the band. Following Homecoming they had a big success with their magazine sale, followed up with candysales at the games and a bake sale. J And finally in their last year, the year they had all worked hard to reach, they slid into first place again at Homecoming with The Pirates are Wieners and used one of John Lennon's best songs, Imagine for their Homecoming theme. Gaining more seniors their last year, they had to work harder to raise enough money for their trip to Florida. But that didn't seem to bog down the seniors any. The money making projects their last year were: concession stand at home football games, cake sales at the home games, a Halloween Party, V jy u 0 v candy sales, a chili and a spaghetti supper, a bake sale, a cake raffle, and lastly, a rummage sale. The senior class would like to thank the town for their help and support those past four years. THANK YOU. C I 0' Vo CMCMSC0$Sf -n' Trrc JOt-D
