These areas are vi- tal to the National Honor Society. Again this year the Illiopolis Chap- ter of the National Honor Society inducted a membership exemplory of these qualities. The induction cer- emony brought to a close a year of hard work. The chapter sponsored, again this year, a film series which centered around student interest. Each month a student was selected Student of the Month--based on re- cognition of the standards of the society. Liz Whitten--Secretary Mr. Fulton--Sponsor Karen Witts--Treas.(not pictured) This year Student Council initiated a very successful project--our popcorn machine. Other activities sponsored were: a mock Presidential election, assemblies, Student Council week, and a student rec room and lounge. The rec room and lounge weren't fully com- pleted but a ping pong table was one well-used addition to the school. The Student Council plans to have a stu- dent handDOok for 1969-70. Also, the Student Council participated in the Meridian Conference Association of Student Councils. K.
