SENIOR CLASS POEM he :Jfi7agf»adilating class of Illiopo- Quiet and Friendly is a boy named Bob, lis High, We have had a good time as the years went by. We all agree that we’re real great. But some one may say that we'll meet our fate. We've had a good class of which we're proud. So here's a few things about them to be read out loud: Whenever you're in Decatur, You're sure to see Rosie sooner or later. She is a rather short gal with light blu blue eyes. Who really likes those Decatur ;y guys. In our class is a boy named Jim, Who is really tall from head to limb. To the state of Kansas he often goes. But what he does—nobody knows.' Jimmie is the small one of our class. With everyone she is sure to pass. On the farm she really does work. And from her duties never will shirk. One of our boys is going to Rolla, His record of good grades he is sure to follow. John is his name and he's really sweet. At school lots of friends he is sure to meet. Dorris is the shy and quiet type. Whatever she does is sure to be right. All of us are sure to agree. That Dorris is very nice and friendly. Gary Lamb is the slow moving kind. Whatever he does takes him time. In the classroom he is usually quiet. But once he gets started---- he's really a riot. Sue is a small but mighty girl. And really gives all the boys a whirl. She's lots of fun and really sweet. To meet her is really a treat. One of our guys goes with a Decatur gal. This boy we all know well. Gary Hancock is his name. And maybe someday he will gain great fame. Marcia's a tall blond with bright blue eyes. And this year we have often heard her sighs. As Salutatorian she was this year hon- ored. And on many ideas she often pondered On a farm this guy has a job. He is often teased about being rich. But with all the kids he does mix. We also have a girl who's tall and dark. In sbhool she has very good marks. Loretta is her name and she's lots of fun. And seems to always be on the run. Either in a Ford or a Buick this guy is seen But in neither one is he ever mean. The name of this boy is Bill, And whenever asked a favor—do it he will ]: Carol is a girl we all know well. In music she really does excell. As Valedictorian of our class. She is a very nice and intelligent lass. Another student is named Harry, Someday we are sure he will marry. But he is not the type to be lazy. Or ever seen acting crazy. Next is a girl who has naturally curly hair. For fast dancing she has a flair. Marilyn can work but when it is done. She is always out to have lots of fun. As Hbmecoming Queen was Barbara Miller, You will all agree she's quite a thriller. V ith those big blue eyes she's really some gal. And we have all found her to be our pal. There seems to be a joker in every class, Doug is ours from first to last. In his black Mercury he is often seen. And on a girl named Carolyn he is really keen. In our class we have another blond. For dancing she is rather fond. As you probably know, Nina is her name. And wherever you see her she's always the same. Barbara Owens is last on our list. Sometimes she acts as though in a mist. We agree that she will soon go to a parson. With a guy who is from Dawson. As we leave we would like to say, V e'll wish we were back again some- day. We hate to leave all the familiar faces. But in life's vast ocean we must take our places.
