Leaving on chartered plane for Los Angeles, we were surprised at discovery of pilot and co- pilot Gary Tycer and Arnold Mellow, who have established their own business after be coming renowned jet aces in the recent interplanetary conflict. Another unexpected discovery was Stewardess Shirley Clar, who met us with an engaging smile. June 4, 1964 Los Angeles Arrived 3 a. m. at Los Angeles Airport. Met by reporters, among whom we found Gene Ivy, now employed by the Los Angeles Universal-Express. During a nap at our suite in the Hotel Ambassador, we were awakened by Cosmic Union messenger boy, Larry Sanders, who delivered an invitation from Mr. Earl C. Reinoehl, who read of our arrival in the paper and was throwing one of his well known parties for members of the IVHS class of '54. Larry left with a ten dollar tip and an acceptance to Earl's party! That evening at the Brown Derby in Hollywood, whom should we discover at the table next to us but Freda Stepp and family on a two-week vacation from their hardwood store in Laramie, Wyoming. We were also pleased at finding George Bell a bus boy there. Entering the taxicab outside the restaurant, we found Wes Haggerty, who boasts of six years driving in traffic without any fatilities! As we approached our hotel, we notices the advertising in front, announcing the opening engagement of Mary Taylor at the Cocoanut Grove that evening. Deciding not to miss it, we arrived just in time for the first show, which included a song, written by a struggling com- poser, Joe Spalinger, entitled, If I Knew You Were Cornin' I'da Gone to the Moon.
