The SNEA fStudent National Education Associa- tionj is a group of junior college students with an avowed interest in teaching as a vocation. Under the direction of Miss Connolly and Miss Cummings these students meet monthly to discuss some of the problems and joys they will have to face as teachers. SNEA provides an excellent means for future teachers to get a glimpse 0' Let teaching life is like. An annual highlight of the organization's activities is a Christmas party at the LaSalle County Children's Detention Home. One of the most successful meetin s of 195960 was held with representatives of the Illinois Valley Exceptional Children's League. At right Barb Miglia prepares to introduce two of the guests to other members. Highlight of t.his meeting was a demonstration of equipment used in the teaching of physically and mentally handi- capped youngsters.
