Concert The Band is a musical organization open to all students who would like to enrich their musical background . A prospective member must either be learning to play an instru- ment or can already play one. The band plays at games and parades. It also presents three or four concerts a year. The purposes of the organization are: to interest good students in becoming teachers; to explore the teaching field; and to cultivate qualitites of leadership, character, and scholarship among students. American (Junior) Bed Cross has the purpose of: giving students opportunities to participate in humanitarian services and to offer them opportunities to develop skills, talents, and knowledge that may be directed to the welfare of others. Junior Class Play 38 Homecoming 1965 a Great Success! Homecoming 1965 was a success. Festivities began with a pep assembly Friday. Queen Susie Leiner was named at the bonfire that evening. The tradi- tional parade through the business dis- trict featured Chilli Hi's band, the four class floats, and floats from school or- ganizations . The football team's effort proved satisfactory as they smashed Metamora (score 13-9). The crowning of her majesty climaxed another great Homecoming which took its place among the other treasured memories of the year.
