Her kindly philosophy and skillful teaching were present in her daily life as well as her class- room. Her students and associates will always re- member her with deep respect and admiration. The Close of Successful Careers Her sincerity in teaching and her willingness to help have earned for Miss Gerber the respect of both students and faculty here at CHS. For 28 years Miss Gerber's versatility has enabled her to teach courses from book- keeping to Spanish. Her students will remember has as a competent and efficient teacher and sincere person. Her retirement will leave a space in the faculty that will be hard to fill. His ability to work with and around teen-agers without losing his sense of humor, has made Leonard McLaughlin one of Chilli High's most favorite people. Since he began work here in 1953, Leonard has been known to the faculty and students as genial and mild-mannered. The veritable handyman, Leonard, has always been counted on to get the job done, whether the job was to fix a broken furnace or un-jam a jammed locker. His dependability and friendliness will be sincerely missed after his retirement at the close of this school year. 105 CAFETERIA STAFF—Left to Right: Mrs. Gill, Mrs. Gould, Mrs. Hedden, Mrs. Reggio, and Mrs. Freer, Manager. Leonard McLaughlin Rudy Rudolphi Tim Viola George Pease Harlan Day The End Just another year, another yearbook? The staff and I hope not. We hope we have captured some of your best (and perhaps worst) moments of your 1963-64 school year to make you remember it as something special. This year was something special for the staff and me. To the staff and me the '64 SEQUENCE isn't just another yearbook. I guess our experience with the yearbook can be summed up as all in fun, from the first meeting last July to the last deadline this June. Many times our all in fun” attitude made Mrs. Carroll lose faith in us. However, we made it. As a result, here is your '64 SEQUENCE. We thank Mrs. Carroll for her invaluable counseling. Without her cleverness and ingenuity (and, of course, censorship) the '64 SEQUENCE wouldn’t be the success it is. Special thanks goes to my assistant editor Lee Bell, whose verstility in everything from photography to film developing added to the success of the '64 SEQUENCE. Also my appreciation goes to my girl Friday, Janet Giugler, for her excellent cover design and ingenious ideas . There is not enough room to thank individually every one on my colossal staff. But, as I thumb through the final copy of the '64 SEQUENCE, I can assure them that their originality and hard work have made the '64 SEQUENCE one of the best Chilli High yearbooks ever. Thank you for a job well done.
