Handel Sandra Payne n emoriam Early in our junior year, the class of 1954 lost a very dear friend. Frank Anderson's death came as a shock to all of us, and there are no words to express the sorrow that we felt. We laughed with him, joked with him, cmd he was always there when we needed cheering up. You would never see him that he did not have a smile or a joke. He was laughter, he was joy, he was a wonderful friend. It holds campaigns and ele- ctions as do our national political parties. Its members seek to pro- mote 'both good citizenship and cap- able leadership. In all student council planning, their chief interest is the welfare oi the school. Their services to the school are many. A club or class may send a representative to student council saying We need some money . Fortunately our council is in a pos- ition to do something about it. Foodstands. a main source of in- come here at Chilli, are under the supervision of the student council. At the beginning of the year, each class and organization submits a 1l ! The coke and popcorn machines are innovations of the student council: the profits being used to provide the funds lor school activities. Many of the finest student assemblies are planned by the council. They, also. assist in bringing top professional entertainment for our enjoyment. Extra-curricular activities, such as parties and dances are promoted by the student council. The signs in the halls that poke fun at common high school nuisances are their work. Our student council works to fur- ther both co-operation and school spirit in the student body. Our coun- cil can always be depended upon to maintain the high standards our school has always demanded. Ki.-if ST ROXV W Dew 9 L Criswold I I IOC!
