A.ClE Sponsorship of a penny drive to raise money for equipping a school in Sierre Leone and a lecture by a pediatrician who discussed the maintenance of childhood health were activities of the Association for Childhood Education this year. BLACKFRIARS In their thirty-second year at ISU, these young men formed their own alumni association to provide a nucleus for graduated brothers and to support ISU spirit. Other events were six Weeks of pledging, a Playboy party, and the annual Blackfriar Show. GEOGRAPHY CLUB Mr. Robert Gardula spoke on The Effects of Weathering on the Inhabitants of the Coastal Re- gion to the members of the Geography Club. The club combined their talents with the members of Gamma Theta Upsilon to sponsor a spring dance. GERMAN CLUB With the purpose of promoting an interest in German culture and language, monthly meetings as Well as informal coffee clatches were held by this club. A trip to Chicago to see a German film and to dine at a German restaurant ended the year.
