GREETING O those into Whose hands this hook per- chance may fall and who may read these pages with kindly interest, with en- thusiasm for the school, or with critical intent, We, the INDEX Board, extend a hearty greeting. To you the Students, Faculty, Alumni, and Board of Education, We would say, uput yourself in a receptive mood hefore advancing furtherfq the trials, trihulations and vex- ations of the hoard stood out in the hook as they in its making we would surely say, WGO no furtherfx However, We have survived and so may you. Tread lightly, interpret freely and forgive our crudenessfq There may he some who Wxll he dlsap- pointed in the INDEX and Whose standards the hook does not reach. To such we would say, wwe have done our hestf, There may he some to whom the quips seem not so funny as they do to us. To them we would say, A jokegs a joke for as thatfq Upon the many Whom we know receive this hook with hearty appreciation, We have relied for en- couragement in the Work.
