Now, at the close of his thircl year's work as president of this university, it is putting the matter rather milcl to say that the institution has prospered uncler his supervision. During the time which Mr. Felmley has heen connectecl, with this institu- tion, his biography has appeared in Tim INDEX many times. We wish to make only a few of the most truthful anil conservative statements concerning our president, yet we fear that our remarks may read to some like wholesale tlattery and quite possibly reaclo so to the president himself. P1'GSlfrlC1lJE Felmley has a well estahlishecl reputation in school circles of being one of the best informed men, in the state, and few are more honored hy the teachers of Illinois than he. His broad scholarship is due to his clearness of mental vision, to his tireless inclustry, ancl to his wonclerful memory.
